Kitesurfing Geremeas: Spot Description
The enchanting bay of Geremeas is the only true alternative “back home” (Cagliari) for kitesurfing with the Mistral.
Its 3 km of white sand and his crystalline water make Geremeas one of the most beautiful places of South Sardinia.
This spot works with Mistral (a bit gusty), Ponente and Libeccio.
When the windcomes from north, the wind becomes very gusty.
Ponente is the best wind (onshore right side) and gives, when it is strong, good waves.
The spot of Geremeas has not be under evaluated: it is not easy to launch and land the kite because of the gusty wind, the small dunes and the mediterranean maquis.
The spot is for those reasons not recommended for beginners.
Although the days “no” are many, with “trust and bear”, it is likely to bring home a memorable session of kitegoarding.
How to reach Geremeas
From Cagliari or Quartu Sant’Elena, get the beautiful coast road to Villasimius. You will arrive in Geremeas after 28 km.
