Kitesurfing Sant’Antioco: Spot description
In Sant’Antioco there are many spots for kitesurfing, usually not for beginners: Spiaggia Grande and Coaquaddus beach are the famous ones.
Wide Bay (1 km) and sandy beach, Spiaggia Grande is great for freestyle.
In flat water condition could be suitable for beginners, while in wave conditions is recommended only for advanced kiters.
How to reach Spiaggia Grande
From Cagliari get the S.S. 130 to Carbonia then continue to San’Antioco. Once in Sant’Antioco, follow the road signs to Calasetta; in this way, you will find many signs for Spiaggia Grande.
Located on south-east of the island of Sant’ Antioco, Coaquaddus beach is a wave spot with Levante and Scirocco recommended to medium and advanced kiters.
You can kitesurf only from September to May because during the summer season the beach is very crowded.
How to reach Coaquaddus Beach
From Cagliari get the S.S. 130 to Carbonia then continue to Sant’Antioco. Once in Sant’Antioco, follow the road signs to Maladroxia-Coequaddus.
